I too, as so many of you all are in a financial hardship. I live in Edenton,NC , the place I was working at closed down (they only gave me a 6 hour notice) and I do not qualify for unemployment because I did not make enough to qualify. I have a 2 month old and a 22 month old, 2 little boys. I am now working odd jobs until I can find a stable one. I have the money for utilities, but not for my rent. When I moved here I chose the cheapest place to make sure I could afford it just in case something did happen, but I didn't count on being layed off so abruptly and didn't predict the economy's downturn. My rent is $450. All charities have no funds, DSS was no help due to so many people applying and I have applied for section 8 but it will take atleast a year to get it. My rent was due May,1rst, and my eviction notice will be here in two days. If anyone can help, please email me. I will be forever greatfull.
